The Step Up supports children and youth to learn practical life skills and knowledge enabling them to make positive contributions to their communities.
Children and youth participants experience self directed learning in a positive atmosphere inspiring them to appreciate learning and continue their education.
The Step Up promotes shared values, and encourages individual achievement and personal wellbeing.
We support we don’t change, we empower, we don’t direct. We create educational opportunities whilst being culturally sensitive to local life.
We ensure our programmes are locally driven and developed together with local community leaders, teachers and youth representatives.
We encourage communication in English with an emphasis on self directed learning and experiential methods of learning to stimulate critical thinking and reflection.
We foster an environment of respect for all faiths and cultures and encourage youth to be peacebuilding citizens and to make a positive impact in their communities.
