Step Up Clubs

The Step Up supports local schools and NGO’s to run after school clubs focusing on informal learning and creativity. These Step Up clubs encourage children and teens to come together during their free time, to develop their skills and talents in a productive environment after school hours. The clubs are run by teachers and youth volunteers who are mentored and supported by the Step Up team. The children and youth can choose which clubs they would like to join, based on their interests. Clubs include English Club, Drama Club, Sewing Club, Art and Design Club, Music and Movement Club and Science Discovery Club.

“During the Drama club, the girls were encouraged to speak aloud and act in role plays in English, which really built their confidence. It also encouraged them to share their opinions which is very good”
